Gettin’ “Gelly” with Buttons
We’re in a “gel design age” thanks to the look of Apple’s Aqua interface for Mac OS X and the resulting marketing pieces that
sprang forth from it. When we first showed this technique in Photoshop User magazine, it took literally twice as many steps,
but we’ve since found a way that makes it so easy, you can create your own aqua-like button in about 60 seconds.
STEP ONE: Create a new document
that’s in RGB mode set at 72 ppi (the
one shown here is 7x5"). Click the
Foreground color swatch at the bottom
of the Toolbox and choose a light blue
in the Color Picker, then press U
