Distressed Edge Effect
For years now, we’ve all been doing a cheesy “Diffuse filter version” of this technique to create edge effects, but generally, the
pros have never used it (instead they’ve always used third-party frame plug-ins and other stock photo sources for a more
realistic edge effect). Well, I came up with a way to create edges that look like the ones the pros use, and although it takes a
little more effort than the “Diffuse cheesy version,” it looks vastly better.
STEP ONE: Open the photo you want
to use in this effect, and press D to set
your Background color to white. Press
