Transparent TV Type
I call this “TV Type” because you see a similar effect all the time on network logos in the lower right-hand corner of your TV
screen. Although it’s ubiquitous on television, I’ve seen this effect used in print and on the Web over and over again, and I like
the fact that you can make it as subtle or powerful as you want simply by adjusting the Opacity slider in the Layers palette.
STEP ONE: Open the image to which
you want to add the effect. Press D to
set your Foreground color to black, and
then press T to switch to the Type
