Adding a Lens Flare

This is a nice way to add some visual interest to an image. The sad part about this technique is that photographers go out of

their way to avoid lens flare, and here we’re about to show you how to add it. It just ain’t flare. ;-)

STEP ONE: Open the photo you want to

apply a lens flare effect to, making sure

it’s set to RGB mode by going to the

Image menu, under Mode, and choosing

RGB Color. In this example, we’re going

to apply it to a photo of the sun shining
