Reverse Cast Shadow
This shadow effect is widely used in print and on the Web to give the impression that the light source is coming from behind the
object, rather than from the front or the side, as Photoshop Elements shadows are usually applied. Most notably, I saw it on the
logo for the movie The Talented Mr. Ripley.
STEP ONE: Create a new document (the
one here is 8x6" in RGB mode). Click on
the Foreground color swatch at the bot-
tom of the Toolbox and select a color
in the Color Picker that you want to use
for the background of the image. Press
Alt-Backspace to fill the Background layer
with t
