Verifying that your current hardware will support an installation of Windows XP Professional is critical to getting Windows XP correctly installed and running smoothly. Verifying the existing software installed on your computer when performing an upgrade installation is just as vital—Windows XP can get pretty particular when it comes to dealing with previously installed software.
