When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Scheduled Tasks
Scheduled Tasks, which I prefer to call the Task Scheduler, is found in the Control Panel and in the Start menu under All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, Scheduled Tasks.
TIPThe Task Scheduler can not only run a program based on time and date, it can also run scripts or programs when the system boots, when a user (any user) logs on, or when the system is idle. How is this different from putting a script or program in the Startup group for All Users? For one thing, the Task Scheduler lets you specify the security context—the logon name and password—to use for this task. For example, whenever a user logs on, you can have the Scheduled Tasks run a program with Administrator privileges to record information in a protected file. ... |
