So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Command-Line Utilities
In this chapter there are several sections discussing the use of the net command in its various incarnations: net use, net share, and net view.
There are actually 22 variations of the net command, which can not only manage file and printer sharing, but create user accounts, start and stop system services, and update the system clock.
The net commands are worth learning about. To get more information, open a command prompt window and type the command net to get a list of all 22 variations.
Then, type net help xxx where xxx is any of the subcommands; for example, net help start displays information about the start variation.
