Microsoft's Internet Information Services (IIS) is one of the most popular Web servers on the Internet today. Market share surveys, for example www.netcraft.com/survey, indicate that IIS is behind roughly 30% of all Web sites on the Internet, and is second in popularity only to the Apache Web server, which runs on Linux, Windows, and several versions of Unix.
