Backup for Safety
The last major part of taking care of your hard drive is ensuring that your data is fault tolerant by means of properly planned and performed backups. There are five types of backup that you can perform on your systems, and although they are pretty much common knowledge, they deserve a quick review before we move on.
Normal backup— Copies all selected files and marks each file as having been backed up (the archive attribute is cleared). Only the most recent copy of the backup file is required to perform restoration.
