So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Windows XP Networks
Windows XP was designed pretty much from the ground up to work well on a network, whether in the home, small office, or enterprise. For the most part, using files and printers on the network is exactly the same as using files and printers located in your own computer. The “look and feel” are identical. You only need to learn how to locate and attach to resources shared by others, and how to make your own computer's resources available to others on the network.
In this chapter, I'll assume that you're familiar with the terms and concepts behind Windows networking. If you aren't, you may want to check Chapter 16, “Introduction to XP Networking,” for an introduction to Windows network types, features, and functions.
