I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
How to do it...
In this section, we will discuss the steps to follow to obtain credentials and use the AWS tools for PowerShell:
- Log on to the AWS Management console (https://console.aws.amazon.com/iam/home) portal.
- Click on Users from the left-hand pane of the window.
- Click on Add User.
- Enter your username in the Set user details pane.
- Select the AWS access type as Programmatic access and click the Next: Permissions button:
- Choose the option to Attach existing policies directly. In the Policy type filter, check the AdministratorAccess box and click Next:
- Click the Create user button.
