So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
How it works...
PowerShell has been created with administrators in mind. Given that we rely on a myriad of file operations on a regular basis, PowerShell contains administrative constants. These constants represent powers of 1,024 (1,0241, 1,0242, 1,0243, and so on).
Hard drive and flash drive manufacturers usually use powers of 1,000 to represent drive sizes. In our recipe, we use the scientific notation to convert the size of the drive into bytes.
