I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
How to do it...
To install the Docker engine on Linux, follow these steps:
- Go to https://download.docker.com/linux/centos/7/x86_64/stable/Packages/ to download the latest .rpm file for the version of Docker you want to install.
- Save the docker-ce*.rpm file in a convenient location. In this case, the file is saved to the default Downloads directory.
- Log in to the Terminal with a user with superuser privileges:
$ suPassword:
- Install the RPM package using the yum install command. Specify the complete path to where the RPM file is:
# yum install /home/prashanth/Downloads/docker-ce-18.03.1.ce-1.el7.centos.x86_64.rpm -y
