How it works...

Every finite looping construct requires three things:

• The starting point
• The stopping point
• The way to proceed toward the stopping point

In the case of the Foreach construct, the entire logic is pre-coded. It takes an entire array, finds the starting and stopping points, and moves toward the stopping point one step at a time. The For construct has these parameters declared in the loop declaration statements itself, and each parameter is separated by a semicolon.

The While loop is not very different. Its starting point is defined outside of the loop, the stopping point is the only condition passed, and the operation on the index is specified within the loop. These three parameters have been highlighted in the scripts. The ...
