It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Pulling a Docker container image from the repository
So far, we have learned that the Docker PowerShell cmdlets can be used along with Docker commands to manage the Docker container stack effectively. We've also discussed the basics of Docker containers and their implementation on Linux machines using PowerShell commands. However, the PowerShell package for Docker is still in the development stage and it has been made public as an open source project. PowerShell Docker cmdlets use the Docker Rest API to connect to the Docker service.
Starting with this recipe, we'll look at Docker PowerShell cmdlets to manage Docker containers.
