RSOH provides for 6 numbers of Δ bytes for carrying special informa-
tion or commands for transmission media specic applications. For exam-
ple,theexcessive delay in satellite links will require special timing settings
for many activities, or the direction of trafc in an OFC link may be identi-
ed by these bytes when using only one ber for transmission and reception.
