Keep the Schedule Accurate
Problem: You missed a milestone, so the schedule is no longer accurate.
Your job isn’t over when the schedule is done. When have you ever been a part of something that has gone exactly to plan? As time progresses, reality has a way of diverging from what you expected. It’s up to you as the program manager to notice this divergence and act on it.
Why might the schedule become wrong? The most common problem is that it took longer than expected to do the work. Estimates are hard.
