Block Types
Chapter 17 introduced the different components of a Web Intelligence report and the concept of a block. A block is a set of data that contains column headings, row headings, and data values. Web Intelligence allows several block types: table, crosstab, form, and chart. A report can contain multiple block types. Each block can be populated from the same query or a different query.
NOTE A master/detail is a type of report, but not specifically a block type. Within a master/detail report, you specify groupings or sections of data and block type(s) to appear in each section.
