I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
THE SEPTET MODEL
In choosing to serve as teachers, counselors, and coaches, we set ourselves the challenge of recognizing and, where appropriate, setting aside our own agendas and needs in order to better discern and provide what the other person truly needs. In order to consciously serve others, we must continually consider the following questions:
• How do we discern what the other person really needs from us, as distinct from what we believe he or she needs?
• How do we learn to recognize, and manage, our own habits of mind in order to be fully present in every interaction rather than relying on received formulas?
• How do we integrate our own efforts to become more mindful into the development work we do with others?
