Preface
Is This Book for You?
Anyone interested in learning wedding photography, and particularly how to do it with digital equipment,
will find Digital Wedding Photography: Capturing Beautiful Moments very useful. Seasoned wedding profes-
sionals looking to convert to a digital camera and digital workflow systems will also find it very useful.
The specific information on how to create beautiful images at different parts of the wedding day, and the
chapters dealing with the business of wedding photography will be useful to amateurs and professionals
alike.
This book is designed to teach a person who already knows how to use a camera about how to be a digi-
tal wedding photographer — and make no mistake about it; there is a huge difference between being able
to take good pictures and being a good wedding photographer.
This book is not designed as a beginning photography book. There is no information on f-stops, aper-
tures, or operating a camera. If you need to learn beginning photography, this book is not the place to
start. If you already feel comfortable with the basics of photography, and you want to learn how to apply
those skills to shooting weddings, this is the book for you.

added just enough shadow to create some mood.
