any problems with erasing files on a memory card, but I still think it is a mistake to do anything to a
memory card in the computer. When you need a clean memory card, simply popping it in the camera is
always going to be the safest way to go.
Editing, Selecting, and Deleting Images
After the images are all downloaded to your computer and backed up, you can safely start the process of
editing out the bad ones and sorting the keepers into different categories. Several programs on the mar-
ket can help you with this task. Figure 15-4 shows the main screen of ACDSee Pro Photo Manager.

DAM software
Digital Asset Management is a group of computer programs that that are used to organize large libraries
of images. These programs can perform a multitude of tasks including enhancing, searching, categoriz-
ing, rating, tagging, naming, rotating, and so on.
