Workflow Samples
The following outlines can give you an idea of what a workflow looks like in action. The first sample is my
own workflow. The second samples are from photographers that shoot and sell in a completely different
style from me. Note the variety of methods used to achieve basically the same results.
The Author’s Digital Wedding Workflow
I shoot in a photojournalistic style and deliver my finished images on DVD. All editing is done with
ACDSee Pro.
Pre-wedding phase
1. Two days before the wedding, charge camera batteries and AA batteries for the flashes, format
all flash cards, and contact the bride to confirm time and directions to location.
2. Check all camera settings — Synchronize the time, set the resolution to high, set file type to
JPEG, turn off sharpening, and set for sRGB color space.

Is a RAID system difficult to set up?
Not at all! You simply purchase a RAID controller card and the required number of drives for your
chosen RAID type. These hard drives must be identical in every way. After purchasing the compo-
nents, you simply plug the controller card in to one of the empty slots inside your computer using
no more tools than a screwdriver. The card comes with cables that you need to plug in from the new
controller card to each of the hard drives. Finally, the RAID controller card comes with software that
