So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Drinking Alcohol at a Wedding
You will almost always be offered alcohol at a wedding. The guests will typically be drinking (sometimes too
much) and it is tradition to offer everyone in the room a drink, including the photographer. Should you take
it? The risk is that if something goes bad with the pictures someone is certain to bring up the fact that you
were drinking and that would only make the situation worse. If someone gets mad at you for any reason, one
drink may quickly be translated into, “your photographer was drunk!”
When someone offers me a drink early in the day (which they always do) I tell them that I have to try to keep
everything in focus right now, but I’ll be happy to join them for a drink later in the evening. And then later in
the evening when I’ve got all the dancing shots I really need and I know there will be few demands on my
skills anyway, I do have a drink.
I once witnessed a scene where the DJ got drunk and was out on the dance floor groping the maid of honor
while guzzling beer out of a full pitcher. I’m sure you won’t ...
