Sound Card
A sound card, also known as an audio card, is an internal expansion card that facilitates the input and output of audio signals to and from a computer. This allows multimedia applications such as music, video, audio presentations, and games to play sound through a speaker or sound system.
There are several types of sound card such as integrated, dedicated and external. Integrated sound cards are built directly into the motherboard of most modern computers and provide sufficient audio quality for general tasks such as listening to music, watching videos, and casual gaming.
