So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
WiFi Channels
The WiFi signal on the 2.4 GHz band is divided up into 22MHz wide channels. There are usually 14 channels, although in some counties there are only 12 or 13 channels.
The most popular channels for 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi are 1, 6, and 11 as they don’t overlap.
When WiFi access points are close together, they use these different channels so they don’t interfere. Here, you can see multiple access points spread out across an office floor to provide WiFi access to all the offices.
