Binary Addition

Adding two binary numbers together is fairly straight forward. All you have to remember are these simple rules...

0 + 0 = 0

0 + 1 = 1

1 + 0 = 1

1 + 1 = 0 carry 1

1 + 1 + 1 = 1 carry 1

Have a look at adding these two numbers together, and apply the rules quoted above.

Working from the right to the left we get: 0+1=1, 0+1=1, 1+1=0 carry 1, 1+1+0=0 carry 1

Once you work through the steps, you’ll end up with something like this:
