Computer Networks
When two or more computers are connected together they are said to be networked. A network can be two or three computers connected together in a small office or connect computers together in different parts of the country.
There are three main types of networks. LAN, MAN & WAN.
You can have either a client server or a peer to peer network model, depending on the environment in which the network is being used.
Networks can be set up using various topologies, such as star, bus, or ring networks.
Machines on the network can be linked together using Cat5, 6, or 7 ethernet cable, fibre optic cable, and cellular or WiFi.
