In bus topologies although somewhat obsolete in favour of Fast Ethernet now days, each node is connected to a single cable called a bus.

All nodes are connected to a single cable called a bus that acts as a backbone for the network. At each node on the bus you’d have a T-Connector where a workstation or server can be connected. Each node has its own connection to the bus.
To prevent reflection of the signals traveling down the bus, terminators are attached at both ends of the bus. The terminator is plugged directly into the bus cable at each end.
