It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Just because InDesign can create a single document that’s
9,999 pages long, that doesn’t mean it’s a good idea. If
you’re working on a document that’s going to be more
than a couple hundred pages long, it’s probably a good
idea to think about breaking it up into smaller sections/
documents. You can still have the benefi ts of a single
document by using the Book feature. Create two or more
InDesign documents and then choose File>New>Book.
You will be prompted to save your Book document and
then you’ll get a Book palette. From here you can use the Plus sign at the bottom of the palette
