It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

You can cut down on some of your work if
you’re using Microsoft Word as your writ-
ing tool for import into InDesign. If you
know you want to end up with hyperlinks
in your fi nal PDF, you can author them right
inside Word. The valid formats are http://
www.yoursite.whatever, http://yoursite.
whatever, www.yoursite.whatever, and
somebody@somedomain.whatever. If you
use any of these formats in Word and place
the Word document in InDesign, they will
automatically be converted into active links.
