You can set the type defaults (default font, size, etc.)
for your document very easily. Just make sure nothing
is selected (to make sure, go under the Edit menu and
choose Deselect All). Then get the Type tool, go to the
Character palette and set everything the way you want
it, and those now become your defaults. See, we told
you it was easy.
SET YOUR TYPE DEFAULTS
You can set default styles, and the easiest
way is to import styles from an existing
document that already has the styles
you want. Here’s how: First make sure no
documents are open. Then go under the
Type menu and choose Ch ...
