InDesign CS/CS2
Wouldn’t it be great if you could get a
preview of your InDesign document
before you actually open it? It can’t
be done, but wouldn’t it be great?
(Just kidding.) You can do it, if you
make one little change in InDesign’s
Preferences. Go into Preferences
and choose File Handling. When
the dialog appears, go to the Saving
InDesign Files section and turn on the
checkbox for Always Save Preview
Images with Documents (as shown).
From this point on, as you save or
update documents in InDesign, you’ll
see a preview of those documents
when you use the Open A File dialog.
