It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Anytime you want to zoom in on
a precise area, you can temporarily
switch from the tool you’re using
to the Zoom tool by holding
Command-Spacebar (PC: Control-
Spacebar). When you release the
keys, you’re back to the tool you
were originally using. To zoom out,
add the Option key (PC: Alt key) to
the shortcut.
