The final step is to decide what your reversion strategy is once your primary resource is back online and available. You may not want to automatically rollback the DNS to its initial state.
If your secondary environment did any database operations that have not been reflected in your primary environment, you may want to roll back as a delayed or manual process, after any environment alterations that took place during the outage have been reconciled with the primary site.
It may be undesirable to immediately revert back to a previously failed resource if it is "flapping," that is, failing and then intermittently coming back to a working state only to fail again.
