So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Domain Information Groper (dig) is possibly the most-used DNS diagnostic in existence. It is dnssec-aware, can lookup over udp or tcp, and has options to manipulate nearly every aspect of a query packet and then allows the detailed unpacking and examination of the responses.
