So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
DNS failover
DNS failover is the ability to monitor the health or responsiveness of a given resource and if it is found to be lacking, unresponsive, or severely degraded, the DNS for that resource is automatically modified to direct traffic to another instance of the resource, such as a backup copy or a temporary workaround.
There are several components necessary to make failover effective.
