If you want to move both your registrar and your nameserver delegation, there is a definite order to go in.
First, do your nameserver redelegation. After you have completed this step, then execute a registrar transfer (as in the preceding section).
The reason for this is because, usually in a scenario where you are moving both DNS nameservers and the registrar, it's the losing registrar that is the current DNS operator.
When the registrar transfer clears the registry, the losing Registrar may drop the DNS from their nameservers immediately (always a pet peeve of mine). Ideally, they keep the DNS past your zone's longest TTL and you've presumably already paid them through to the end of your term. ...
