df — Report Number of Free Disk Blocks and Files

Synopsis

/usr/bin/df [-F FSType][-abegklntV][-o FSType-specific-options] 
  [directory | block-device | resource...] 
/usr/xpg4/bin/df [-F FSType][-abegklnPtV][-o FSType-specific-options] 
  [directory | block-device | resource...]

Description

Use the df command to determine the amount of free space and disk space in use for mounted or unmounted file systems, directories, or mounted resources in each file system.

When you type df with no options or operands, df reports on all mounted file systems, as shown in the following example.

castle% df / (/dev/dsk/c0t3d0s0 ): 119680 blocks 407239 files /proc (/proc ): 0 blocks 930 files /dev/fd (fd ): 0 blocks 0 files /tmp (swap ): 252720 blocks 9771 files ...
