Access Control Lists (ACLs) are extensions to standard UNIX file permissions. The ACL information is stored and associated with each file individually. Use the setfacl to set, add, modify, and delete ACL entries. For each file specified, setfacl either replaces its entire ACL, including the default ACL on a directory, or it adds, modifies, or deletes one or more ACL entries, including default entries on directories.
