prex — Control Tracing in a Process or the Kernel

Description

The prex command is the part of the Solaris tracing architecture that controls probes in a process or the kernel. See tracing(3X) for an overview of this tracing architecture and for example source code.

prex is the application used for external control of probes. It locates all the probes in a target executable or the kernel and provides an interface for you to manipulate them. prex enables you to turn on a probe for tracing, debugging, or both. Tracing generates a TNF trace file that ...
