We talked about “filling the frame” back in Chapter 2 (getting close enough to where your subject nearly fills the entire image), and that rule is probably most important with portraits of people. When your subject fills the frame, it brings them closer to the viewer, which helps with connection, and your shot will look more professional all around. One clarification about filling the frame: it’s not always necessary to make your subject so close that they actually do fill the frame.
