When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

We talked about “filling the frame” back in Chapter 2 (getting close enough to where your subject nearly fills the entire image), and that rule is probably most important with portraits of people. When your subject fills the frame, it brings them closer to the viewer, which helps with connection, and your shot will look more professional all around. One clarification about filling the frame: it’s not always necessary to make your subject so close that they actually do fill the frame. Just make sure that you’re close enough to your subject so that it’s clear that they are the main thing in the photo. The term “fill the frame” ...
