The iPhone’s ultra-wide-angle lens is awesome, but there’s a technique for landscape and travel shots you can use that can really make for some dynamic images—images that have layers of depth and that draw your viewers into them. The trick is to find something interesting to put in your foreground. So, if you’re shooting a landscape, that might be a large rock right in front of you on the ground, or maybe a piece of driftwood, or a wildflower (a sunflower?), or a small puddle—something right there in the foreground (the area closest to your camera).
