When you’re shooting a dramatic window light portrait, one particular look (as you just learned on the previous page) is to let some of the light from the window spill over onto the shadow side of your subject’s face. However, you might not want the shadows on that side of their face to go that dark. You might want to pop a little light into that shadow side, so it’s not so dark and so you can see more facial features.
