I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
This Kills More Portraits Than Almost Anything
Let’s say you have a friend in front of you and you’re about to take their portrait. You’ve got good light, your friend looks nice, the scene looks nice, so what is the most likely thing that’ll destroy your shot? Simply put, it’s something distracting in the background. Bad backgrounds with distracting things in them kill more portraits than almost anything, which is why keeping an eye on the background is so critically important.
