I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Keeping your strategy on track
Most people are busy. Many people are overwhelmed. Some people are burned out. Being too busy, overwhelmed or burnt-out means that people are unwilling or unable to make time or space for thinking and working strategically. They get lost in the detail, the weeds, the forest and the trees. The most important thing is the path.
Frequency: Regular updates and progress meetings.Key participants: You, leaders, everyone.
The idea is to focus your energy on what matters for getting you where you have decided to go. Quickly review your one-page Speed Strategy and then ask, ‘What has changed?’ and ‘What must change?’, both inside and outside your team or organisation.
