The easiest ways to maintain branding efforts for online identities is to focus first on the name. Consistent usernames throughout the various social sites can help to curb confusion among followers and create efficiencies in messaging.
When you establish the same username on all of your sites, people will remember you more easily. If someone is following you on Twitter, he'll know that he can likely find you by searching for the same username on Facebook or LinkedIn. The easier you make it for people to find you, the more successful your social media campaign will be because you will simply have more people aware of and following your brand.
