images 53. How Do I Create Events in Facebook?

The world's current largest social network hosts millions of event listings each month and is only getting bigger. These events exist online, offline, are big and small, from corporations to small businesses to birthday parties. In short, they can be any type of event you can imagine.

Creating an Event Listing

You can find the Events feature in several places in Facebook. The easiest ways to access it are the navigational link at the top-left side of your home page or by going to the search feature at the top of any page and just typing Events.

On the Events page, you can view upcoming events that you have been invited to or have created. You can also see events that your friends are attending, past events, and a list of your friends' birthdays.

To create an event, click the Create an Event button. You are then prompted to put in your event's name, location name, start and end times, the location address, and add a picture and detailed description of the event.

imagesYou can also cancel an event, which is an action that can't be undone after it is selected. Facebook does enable you to optionally attach a note to all invitees with reasons why the event was canceled.
