Think Before You Engage: 100 Questions to Ask Before Starting a Social Media Marketing Campaign
by Dave Peck
87. How Do I Get Support from Social Media Websites?
Most social media websites have a support feature available to its users. You might need support for various reasons, but know that there are limits to the support available.
Help centers from places such as Twitter and Facebook address specific things: the basics for getting started on the services, areas to report violations, advertising, and server status. The guides are fairly inclusive, with how-to information on almost every part of being a part of the services. What you won't find online is information on strategy or campaigns. These websites offer a service that they expect users to run in a way they see fit. Although there are often rules and etiquette, most of the guidelines (if the site doesn't address them specifically in any guides or terms of service) are actually established by the users rather than the site itself.
The links to support areas of the websites can often be found in the footer or on the side of the site. Typically, the link names are Help, Support, Status, or Feedback.
Support sites should answer most of your questions. If they don't, and how-to guides can't answer your questions, consider contacting a social media specialist.
