Facebook has made it easier for brands to communicate on Facebook. Previously, a personal user was more connected to a business Page because in order to comment on other brand Pages, personal users had to “like” the other brand, and then write something on their own brand Page that referenced the targeted page by using the at (@) symbol. When the at symbol was used, a drop-down menu would appear that filtered in real time based on the letters typed in immediately after.

Instead of going through this sometimes arduous process, users can now switch to using Facebook as a Page rather than as a person. Comments can be written directly on another brand's Page, but only after the brand has liked that Page.

images Rule of Thumb Commenting on other brand Pages should be done with care. You don't want to look like you're spamming other Pages or you'll ruin the credibility of your brand and upset other users.
